Waid has written Cap before and his run even lands at number 8 of Comic Alliance's Top 10 Essential Captain America Runs. Nick Spencer gave fans a lot to chew on and deftly wrote a great run of the Falcon to boot but now Waid is taking Cap back to basics and hitting the road.
