IDW certainly isn't know as an innovator or a great cultivator of original ideas. They are the Licensed Property Publisher. But one of their breakout hits was Locke & Key so I'm not surprised that they gave one of it's co-creator's a chance to create his own mythology under their imprint. You take care of your own. This book is high fantasy at it's best with fantastic artwork to back it up. If you're into swords and sandals high fantasy, this is RIGHT up your alley.
